Ching Hsiang Su, known lovingly as "Lin," passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on March 15, 1942, in Taichung, Taiwan, to Ren Chi Lin and Soo Oh Liao.

Lin was a devoted scholar and a woman of remarkable determination. She graduated from National Taiwan University in 1964 and went on to earn her Master's degree in Biochemistry from the same institution. In 1966, she came to the United States to continue her studies and soon after married her beloved husband, Dr. Chia Chuen Su. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Duke University in 1971.

In 1975, Lin and her husband moved to Hagerstown, Maryland, where they built both their family and their life's work. While raising their two sons, Lin also dedicated herself to supporting Dr. Su's medical practice. She trained as an RVT, RDMS and worked closely with patients, earning their trust with her warmth, intelligence, and compassion.

Outside of her professional life, Lin found great joy in caring for her family. She was an exceptional cook, especially of Chinese cuisine, and delighted in preparing meals that brought comfort and connection to those she loved.

Lin will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and accomplished professional. She gave selflessly to her family, her community, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Chia Chuen Su; her sons Dr. William Su and his wife, Kathleen of Hagerstown, MD and Dr. Edward Su and his wife, Jenny of St. Paul, MN; her grandchildren Isabel Su and Oscar Su of Hagerstown, MD, Theo Su and Harry Su of St. Paul, MN.

Lin's legacy lives on in her family and in the countless lives she touched through her kindness and dedication. She will be dearly missed

Services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
