From the moment I met Chloe, I felt an instant connection. She was vibrant, full of life and her energy was contagious. I remember thinking how lucky I was-not just to meet her-but how relieved and grateful I felt that my son would have such a remarkable woman as his mother-in-law.

Chloe was my best friend but most importantly she was my sister. Oh, we would fight, but we also shared. That is the hardest part. There is not a day goes by when I don´t think, "Wow, Chloe would love this! Gotta share!" at least 10 times. All that has been said before me is true. She was brilliant, giving, and driven. Whatever she was interested in, she Loved. Old poets would call her an Ecstatic. That´s what she was. She found joy and beauty in all that she experienced. Lucky you, who knew her. Lucky me, who could call her my sister. I will never get over losing her.

Chloe was my math tutor in my college. She tutored me in College Algebra, and she got me through an extremely intense accelerated precalculus class. I saw her pretty much every day during that semester, and we were very close. She truly helped me feel at home in the math center, and was like family to me. One thing I remember is how much she loved the colored erasable pens I would use during our tutoring sessions. I ended up getting some for her as a the end of the semester as a thank you gift, and she was absolutely psyched! We also got lunch a couple of times and had some fun conversations! Absolutely phenomenal human being who was kind, caring, and brought joy and warmth to a pretty daunting academic subject. I cannot explain how in shock and saddened I was to hear of her passing. She made a great impact in my life. All of my blessings go out to her family.

This is so saddening to hear. I spent nearly every day in the math lab with Chloe and the other wonderful tutors there. Chloe was so friendly, welcoming, and funny. She would tell me about the best thrift stores, pianists, gardening tips, recipes! She was a wealth of knowledge and had a true love for life. I remember when she left in the middle of Calculus 2 to go visit Ireland!

She made everyone feel welcome, and especially helped me feel okay being a nontraditional student. There´s no rush, and she really kept telling me that. We talked about math often, and what classes she was going to register for. She recommended teachers to me and I to her. Heck, I even had her tutor my brother in Algebra, and she was the best tutor he had.

She had a true love for life and adventure, and I am truly so sad to see this. She was very inspiring to me and I wish I got the chance to tell her that.

I tutored last Spring in the math tutoring center with Chloe. She was the first tutor I met there. She immediately introduced me to the other tutors making me feel like part of the team. Her love for her family, math, gardening, and helping out fellow students was always apparent! I wish I had more time to know her.
