Chris Dooley

Chris Dooley, 54, of Chariton, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on May 28, 2025. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials, may be made in care of his children, Zoey Woods and Kyle Dooley.
Born February 28, 1971, to Daniel and Sharon Dooley in Des Moines. The family moved to Tennessee where Chris graduated from high School in 1989. He was a mechanic and worked different jobs as a handyman.
Chris loved working on cars, hunting, fishing and was at his happiest when spending time with family. In his free time, he enjoyed wood carving. Tractor pulls were something he and his brother, Aaron, enjoyed together. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and always stood up for what he believed in. He adored his grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
His family joked that he was a "dog whisperer" as he loved all animals, especially his dogs. Buster and Abby have passed away, and he leaves his dog and best friend, Tyson, with Zoey.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents: Daniel and Sharon; and a brother, Eric Dooley. He will be missed by his children: Kyle Dooley and Zoey (Brendon) Woods; grandchildren: Liam and Aria; siblings: Lori (Steve) Trusheim, Wendy (Brent) Poudrier, and Aaron Dooley; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
