Chris earned a Master's in Education and devoted his career to teaching and shaping the students in both Dallas and Paulding County High Schools. His commitment and passion drove him to further serve his community as Principal at Union Elementary, Chattanooga Valley High School, Franklin County High School, and Monroe Area High School. After a distinguished career in education, he retired from the Professional Practices Commission, leaving a profound impact on countless students and colleagues alike.
Beyond his professional life, Chris enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. He loved golf and enjoyed fishing, often relishing the tranquility of nature. A talented woodworker, he found pleasure and satisfaction in crafting beautiful pieces. Most importantly, Chris cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and happiness in his life. Chris was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Anita Garner Good; his son, John Christopher Good Jr.; and his daughter, Stacy Good Sanders. His grandchildren, Emma Jayne Good, Jack Good, Trey Sanders, and Jake Sanders, will forever hold cherished memories of their time with him. He is also survived by his brothers, William H Good III and David Good, along with his sister-in-law, Sharon Good.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held on October 12, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home, located at 2516 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA 30161. As friends and family gather to honor his memory, they will remember him not only for his professional achievements but also for his warm spirit, love for life, and the profound impact he had on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or your local charity. Make a donation to Alzheimer's Association - National Office in memory of Chris Good
