Chris John Loumakis passed away at home in Hiram, GA on March 12, 2026. Chris was born on March 19, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Campbell High School in Fairburn, GA, class of 1972. He served his country in the United States Air Force and later built a long career in the printing industry, beginning in the 1970s. He dedicated many years to his work before retiring in 2015. After retiring he enjoyed traveling the country to see his children in California. He also enjoyed a retirement job as a school bus driver. He loved to drive the Greek Orthodox Old Folks, or the GOOFS as he called them, to their lunches and activities around Atlanta.
As a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Chris remained connected to his faith and heritage throughout his life.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Loumakis, and by his brothers Costa Karakos, George Karakos, Efthimios (Mike) Loumakis, Johnny Loumakis, and Nick Loumakis.
He is survived by his son, Philip Loumakis of Apple Valley, California; his daughter, Patricia Evans, and her husband, Will Evans, of Kelseyville, California; and his siblings Katherine Bulcher, Jack Loumakis, Jimmy Karakos, Zack Karakos, Terry Loumakis, Angelo Loumakis, and Barbara McGouirk.
Chris enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund, Atlanta, GA.
