Yesterday
Ms. Chris (aka "Chrispy") had a way of making everyone feel special at Lapeer District Library where we worked together. She would frequently be the first to lend a helping hand, embroider many special items for us, and she would bring her coworkers chocolate every Tuesday afternoon. She even brought candy for the children who visited the library while she was there to brighten their day. I listened to many joyful stories she would share with me about her grandchildren. She was especially excited to tell us about seeing the eclipse with them down south and how special that was to her to share that with them. She made the BEST mint chocolate chip cookies on earth and I loved them so much that the next time I saw her she gave me the recipe and a bottle of mint extract. That is just the kind of person she was. Sweet, thoughtful, joyful, caring. Chris Perry will be deeply missed.

Losing such a truly wonderful friend makes our hearts ache for your family. I will cherish the memories I have from working with Miss Chris. She made each person she touched feel like her favorite. Her gift of caring for others made the world a brighter place. She will be deeply missed. May time help heal the sadness of your loss.
