Chrissy was born on August 30, 1972, in Coleman, Texas, to Domingo and Diamantia Vidaurri. She spent much of her childhood in Winters, Texas, before moving to Waco, where she graduated from Waco High School. In her early 20’s, Chrissy returned to the Big Country, making Abilene her home. She dedicated more than 25 years to a career in management with Arby’s, where she was known for her hard work and leadership.
Chrissy had many passions in life. She cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, never missed her favorite show Days of Our Lives, and was a devoted fan of Bon Jovi. But above all, Chrissy’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished her time with those she held close. In recent years, she lovingly took on the role of caretaker for her mother, a testament to her selfless heart and deep compassion.
She is preceded in death by her father, Domingo Vidaurri.
Chrissy is survived by her husband, Jose Rodriguez; her children, Brianna Vidaurri, and Analia Rodriguez; her mother, Diamantia Areano; her siblings, Estella Gomez, Domingo “Sonny” Vidaurri, Leon Vidaurri, and Omega Herrera and husband Jorge; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Chrissy will be deeply missed but forever loved.
The family invites all attendees to join the family for a meal at Broadview Baptist Church, 2500 S. 27th Street following the service.
