Christina Lynn Artus

Christina, age 41, went to Heaven with her daughter on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was a resident of Gonzales, LA. Christina was crafty and enjoyed sewing and making jewelry. She was extremely generous and caring and always went out of her way to help others. Christina would give the shirt off her back and ask for nothing in return. She adored her family and was happiest spending time with her loved ones. Christina loved going on family vacations and looked forward to it every year. She was so proud of becoming a mother and her baby girl was her world. Christina was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and friend and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Vivian Artus; sister, Michelle Gonzalez (Javier "Coco"); uncles, Freddy Galvan, Terrell Artus (Deanna), Steve Artus; aunts, Kathy Felps, Karen Artus; nephews, Alejandro Soto, Santiago Gonzalez, Elijah Gonzalez; cousins, Emily Artus, Sarah Dawsey (Cade), Madison Artus, Katie Raiford (Taylor), Carlie Felps; and honorary Paw Paw, Richard Villarreal.
Christina is preceded in death by her grandmother, Francoise Galvan; grandfather, Frank Artus; and uncle, Ricky Galvan.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 1190 Hwy 51 N. Ponchatoula, LA 70454 on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor John Overland will officiate with interment to follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
