Christina Vasas
August 16, 2025
Christina Vasas, of Branford, died Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Village at Mariner's Point, in East Haven. She was the wife of the late William Vasas. Christina was born on August 30, 1925, in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Martin and Kristina Mulcz Zadravec. She had worked as a mortgage officer for People's Bank for many years prior to retiring. She is survived by her children, Christina (John) Riordan of Sudbury, MA, William Vasas of Estero, FL, Jane (Richard) Donovan of Branford, and Michael Vasas of Old Lyme, CT; her brother, Edward Zadravec of Portsmouth, NH, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Martin Zadravec and Margaret Kendall.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Entombment in the St. Agnes Cemetery Mausoleum to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, @stjude.org/donate .
