Christine Alvino, 84, of Asheboro, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro, NC.
Christine was born in Kings Co., NY, on December 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Christopher Dominick Mercogliano and Addie Simonette Mercogliano. She was a retired private duty nurse. Christine enjoyed shopping and buying clothes, planting flowers, remodeling furniture and watching and betting on horse and dog races. Most of all, she was a proud mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan Harrrison, Nickie Gershman and brother, Ralph Mercogliano.
Surviving are her son, Christopher "Chris" Alvino (Penny); grandchildren, Elizabeth Alvino and Patrick Alvino (Bobbie Jean); and eight great grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials may be made to Randolph County SPCA, 300 W Bailey St, Asheboro, NC 27203; or to the American Heart Association, MAA Memorials, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
