Christine Ida "Nonnie" Ameri

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Christine Ida "Nonnie" Ameri, who left us on September 16, 2024, at the age of 57.
She was born on January 25, 1967, in Oyster Bay, New York, and gracefully transitioned from this world in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Christine's life, though not marked by grand accolades or notable distinctions, was a testament to love, resilience, and the bonds of family. Preceded in death by her father, John Michael Ameri, Jr. Christine's legacy lives on through those who knew her best and loved her most.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Georgette Merrille Ameri of Leland, NC; her three devoted children, Anthony Ameri of Bolton, DeAnn Ameri of Wilmington, and John Calvin Ameri also of Bolton. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her sister, Francine Ameri of Leland, and her brothers, John Ameri, III and wife Slynda of Scotts Hill, and Joseph Ameri and wife Kim of Wilmington. Christine also leaves behind three precious grandchildren: Kalee Ameri, Messiah Ameri, and Malakhi Ameri, who will forever carry forward her memory and the light she brought into their lives.
To honor Christine's memory, the family will be holding a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, located at 1535 South 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
