Christine Bennett Obituary
Born on November 5th, 1958, she grew up in Sugar Loaf, NY, graduated from Warwick Valley High School, and was lead color guard in the Queens Village Queens Drum and Bugle Corps. Christine later earned a college degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She not only cared for her patients, she touched their lives and many others with her joyful heart and playful spirit. She was a devoted mother who wholeheartedly enjoyed time with her children, family, and friends, sharing many laughs, jokes and was known for her hilarious pranks. She was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through her joy, laughter, generosity and her love of God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her although she will live on in our hearts forever.
Christine leaves behind three children, her daughter Tracy Mortensen, and two sons Mike Mortensen and Ali Qasim; her four siblings, Sandra Bennett-Pagan, Julia Bennett, Steve Bennett, and Jacqueline Bennett; as well as many aunts, cousins, nephews, and a niece.
