Christine Blackburn Obituary
FAIRBORN — Christine Blackburn, age 97 of Fairborn, passed away October 20, 2022 at Wickshire Senior Living Fairborn. She was born September 30, 1925 in Perry Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Nancy (Easterling) Henry. Christine was a longtime member of First Church of God Tabernacle, Fairborn. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Christine was an avid sports fan, Reds, Kentucky and Ohio Universities, she looked forward to March Madness every year. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George in 2013; five siblings, Denzil Glenn Henry, Norma Jean Williams, Talmadge Edward "Sonny" Henry, Deraldine "Dearl" Dykes, James Richard "Jim" Henry. Surviving siblings include Laquada Elam, Phyllis Lewis, and Madelyn "Tootsie"Fisher. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law of Beavercreek Township, Dale and Jessica Blackburn; two grandsons, Jay Blackburn and wife Kate Baber of Seattle, Washington, and Jeffrey Blackburn and wife Jackie of Fairborn; four great-grandchildren, Addison, Alexa, Alivia, and Kai. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Lowell Lay officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Mrs. Blackburn will be laid to rest next to her husband at Byron Cemetery.
