Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for Christine Hoffman Guidry on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas.
Christine, a resident of Bunkie, entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2023, at the age of 59. Christine was a Courtroom Deputy for the United States Clerk of Courts in Lafayette for 40 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Washington, LA. She most loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Her hobbies included sewing, camping, playing Pokeno, crafts, gardening, and reading. She also loved her family beach trips and having fun in the sun. She was very loved and proud of her family and also the longevity she had at her job, prior to retirement.
Christine is survived by her husband, Kernel Guidry of Bunkie, her children, Jonathan Guidry of Garland, LA., Ashley Ansley, of Garland, LA., Spring Guidry of Lake Charles, and Troy Guidry of Bridge City Texas. She is also survived by her mother, Carol Lyons Hoffman of Conway AR; brothers and sister; Michael Hoffman of Wichita Kansas, David Hoffman of Groves Texas, and Jolene Johnson of Conway, AR., grandchildren, Gabrielle Bruner, Jackson Guidry, Griffin Guidry, Alaina Ansley, Autumn Landry, Brodie Guidry, Clinsey Guidry, and one great grandchild, Averee Landry.
Christine is preceded in death by her father, Richard Hoffman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. On Monday visitation will continue at 8:00 a.m. until time of service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
