Christine Halcomb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cumberland Valley Funeral Home on Nov. 25, 2025.
Christine Halcomb, age 82, of Cumberland, Kentucky, was called home to her eternal rest on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Corbin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born to the late Walker and Sarah Smith Davidson, Christine lived a life filled with simple joys, unwavering faith, and boundless love for her family. A devoted homemaker who held strong to the Old Regular Baptist Faith, she found deep satisfaction in caring for her home and the land around it. Those who knew her well will smile remembering how fiercely she protected her lawn-mowing duties, insisting that "no one cuts it right" because it had to look just a certain way. That attention to detail and pride in her work was simply part of who she was.
Christine's heart was as generous as it was loving. She treasured every moment with her family and could always be counted on for a quick adventure to the thrift stores and yard sales, where she delighted in hunting for bargains and hidden treasures. Her sweet soul and kind spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind memories of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
She now rejoins her beloved husband, Meshak Holcomb, her dear sister Eunice Back, and her brother Queford Davidson, along with her parents, in the peace of eternity.
Christine's legacy of love lives on through her devoted children: sons Earl Halcomb, Johnny Halcomb, Anthony Halcomb, and Zeke Halcomb; daughters Shawanee Tinsley and Jolene Allison. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her loving heart forward.
A private family gathering will be held on Tuesday, where Christine will be laid to rest beside her beloved Meshak at John R. Halcomb Cemetery in Linefork, Kentucky.
Cumberland Valley Funeral Home is honored to serve the Halcomb family during this difficult time.
