Mrs. Christine Elizabeth Hartle (Craven) of New Castle, PA, formerly of Ellwood City, PA, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief battle against cancer on November 16, 2025, at Jameson Hospital.
Christine was born on June 24, 1961, the daughter to Larry (Jane) Craven and Mary Catherine (Caplinger) Baney. Christine is survived by her children, daughters Candice Caccia (Kirk Edinger) of Ellwood City, Angela (Dan) Hodge of New Castle, Janie Johnson (Kyle Weller), and RaeAnn Evans (David Whippo) both of Ellwood City and her only son Nicholas Caccia of New Castle. She is also survived by her mother Jane Craven of Wampum and second husband Raymond Evans of Ellwood City, her nine grandchildren; siblings, Larry Craven, Patty Craven, John Baney, and Susan Baney, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Stephen Hartle, who passed in December 2024, her first husband Robert Caccia, and her stepfather.
Christine attended Shenango High School in New Castle, PA. She had worked small various jobs which consisted of being a cashier at Trader Horn, cleaning banks, and being a homemaker. Christine was an avid reader; she could always be found in her recliner at the end of the day enjoying a book. She enjoyed being outside and tending to her flowers. Over the years she had picked up many hobbies such as arts and crafts, one of which was making wind chimes. Christine may be known for her many roles in so many lives, but most importantly as a mother.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday November 22, 2025, from 12 to 2 pm and from 4 until the Funeral Service at 6 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Rev. Chad Blontz will officiate.
