Remsen- Christine G. Holl, 68, departed this life peacefully at her home on Main Street on Monday, October 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren, under the compassionate care of hospice.

She was born in Utica on October 29, 1956, the youngest daughter of Bernard and Stella Zielinski Holl. Christine never married, but had two children with Robert Richter Sr. (Dorthy Richter)

Ms. Holl worked numerous jobs throughout the years in various retail settings as a manager and assistant manager. She worked as a delivery driver for Air Freight Expediters. Chris retired in 2019 as a manager from Walmart in New Hartford.

Chris enjoyed reading, watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was someone who never needed to be the loudest in the room to make an impact. Through quiet acts of love, she built a life filled with connections and lasting memories. Her family and friends will forever remember her infectious laughter, her strength in hard times, and the way she made people feel truly loved. Family and friends who loved her deeply will carry her spirit in their hearts always. Though she is no longer with us, her story continues through every person whose life she touched.

Surviving are a daughter and son, Mandy Richter of Remsen and Robert Richter Jr. of Gastonia, NC; one sister, Mary Bartholomay of Forestport; three grandchildren, Amy Perry, Joshua Perry, and Logan Richter; one niece, Helena Muzzi; one nephew, James Bartholomay; and four great nieces, Holly, Jordyn, Mikayla, and Tara. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Ackley-Mills Funeral Home, 9597 Main Street, Remsen. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Clinton.

Chris's family would like to thank all her caregivers, especially Matthew Nelson, who took exceptional care of her.
