Christine M. "Tina" (Sekowski) Kana, 78, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025. She was born on Aug. 12, 1947, in Braddock, to the late Chester and Mary (Sekerchak) Sekowski. Tina is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Eugene J. Kana; sons, Eric (Wendy) Kana, Jeff (Nicole) Kana, and Michael (Miranda) Kana; grandchildren, Alex, Olivia, Ethan, Theodore, and Alessandra Kana; brothers, Clare and David (Sally) Sekowski; sister-in-law, Clara C. Kana; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Mroz; brother, Leo Sands; brother-in-law, Connie Mroz; and sister-in-law, Donna Sekowski. Tina's journey began at Churchill High School, and she committed herself wholeheartedly to the family business alongside her adored husband. Tina was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her Catholic faith was a steady rock and brought comfort and inner peace, even through the trials of a 25-year health battle. Tina's resilience was not just a testament to her character but an inspiration to all who witnessed her remarkable perseverance, strength, and courage. Gene, her cherished husband, stood by Christine as her unwavering champion, caretaker, and best friend. His dedication to her well-being through their shared trials underscored the depth of their bond, and it is with immense gratitude that we acknowledge the unyielding care he provided. Tina enjoyed golf, bowling, and shopping for the perfect gift. Our heartfelt thanks are extended to the care team, family, friends, and her tireless husband, who traveled this health journey with her. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, PA 15626 (724-468-8381). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City (everyone please meet at church). Entombment will be private at Twin Valley Memorial Park.
