June 3, 1952-May 4, 2025
Christine Kruse, born on June 3, 1952, in Albuquerque, NM was sent to her eternal home on the afternoon of May 4, 2025, peacefully in her home with her three sons by her side.
Chris spent much of her young life working to develop and grow two successful freight brokerages, establishing sole ownership of the latter. Spanning 25 years, Chris mentored numerous young people entering the logistics world, many developing a familial respect for her until her doors closed a little under 10 years ago. Chris had an unrelenting drive to support and care for people, whether family or friend.
Later in life, Chris rekindled a youthful exuberance with the birth of her grandchildren. With her loving and nurturing manner, Chris found joy in imparting her wisdom and supporting their growth as individuals. Over the years, she loved listening to and watching their various sporting events and, in typical Chris fashion, always found time to critique performance with those willing to listen. Chris' grandchildren were her light and there was never a shortage of love.
As important as family was to Chris, her ability to find friendship within her cul-de-sac became one of her greatest joys. These friendships provided an opportunity for Chris to engage in spirited conversation and healthy debate regularly. Chris' appreciation for these friendships was not one-sided as she was loved and respected by all who came to call her friend.
Chris is survived by her sons, Shawn Coates of Overland Park, KS, Bryan Conley of Charleston, SC, and Jakob Kruse of Lenexa, KS.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Montoya.
In the end, Christine did it her way.
