Christine Ann Stanfield

Christine Ann Stanfield, 74, of Tiffin, IA, died peacefully at The University of Iowa Hospital surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. Per her wishes no services will be held and burial has taken place at Anderson Cemetery in Swisher, Iowa.

Christine was born on February 24, 1952, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids to Daniel and Doris (Johnson) Essary. She attended Shellsburg Schools in Shellsbury and Ledford High School in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Christine is survived by her three sons, Junior (Tracy) Essary of Salisbury, North Carolina, David Hicks of Tiffin, Iowa, and John (Brandy) Hicks of Crystal Beach, Texas; one sister, Darlene (Marshall) Horton of Swisher, IA; and brother, Danny Essary of the Phillipines.

Christine was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Essary of Winston-Salem, North Caroline; mother, Doris Johnson of Tiffin, Iowa; sister, Nadine Farms of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
