Loving Wife, Mother, Busia, Sister

Christine Marie Hodas Visosky, 83, died peacefully at the LECOM Nursing Home Hospice Unit on Schaper Ave. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 29, 1941 in Erie, to the late Frank and Eugenia Maciejczyk Hodas.

Christine attended St. Casimir Grade School and St. Benedict Academy, Class of 1959. She started working at Marine Bank at the age of 18, and continued for 39 years, before retiring from PNC Bank in 1998.

Christine was a lifelong parishioner of St. Casimir Church, where she was deeply devoted to her Catholic Faith, and joyfully served as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Organist. She was actively involved in groups like Blue Army, Ladies Guild, Rosary Society, and Senior Citizens within the Mother of Sorrows Parish.

She treasured the friendships with parishioners, classmates, coworkers, and many others she met through her involvements over the years. She enjoyed many laughs with her Club Girls, and frequent luncheons with the Bank Ladies. She was also a member of Siebenbuerger Ladies Auxiliary, and Business and Professional Women.

She is survived by three children, Thomas Visosky and his wife, Melissa; Jennifer Swarm and her husband, Michael; and Matthew Visosky, all of Erie. She cherished her five grandchildren, Lauren Graham Dolak, and husband Pj Dolak; Julianna Swarm, Jason Visosky, Ryan Visosky, and Erinlyn Swarm. She is also survived by her siblings, Bernadine Caldwell, Rosalie Tellers, Frank Hodas (Nancy), and Mary Przepyszny (James); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Visosky, to whom she was married 48 years, and died in 2013; her parents, an aunt, Mary Maciejczyk; brothers-in-law, Henry Tellers, and Stephen Visosky; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Lorence and JoAnn Visosky.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Kloecker-Razanauskas-Bailey Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 4396 Iroquois Ave. on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Prayer Services will be held Saturday morning, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Casimir Church, 630 Hess Ave. at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
