Christofer L. Burns

Christofer L. Burns, age 43, of Plainfield, died Friday afternoon, August 29, 2025 as a result of motor vehicle accident in the town of Plainfield.

He was born May 14, 1982 in Madison, the son of Leland and Carol (Melton) Burns. He married Jennifer J. Heal on October 22, 2016.

Chris enjoyed his garden and building his greenhouse, growing veggies from seed and caring for his plants. He put all into his garden and it brought him much peace. Chris loved anything mechanical, making homemade bread, pickles and tomato sauce. Fall was his favorite time of the year. Most of all Chris loved his pets and spoiling them rotten.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer J. (Heal) Burns, Plainfield; his children, Neveah Petrie, Ryan Christopher Everling, Anastasia Kilty; his mother, Carol M. Melton; siblings, Miranda Burns, Shalone Burns and Joseph Wroblewski; further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Burns, brother, Caleb U. Burns; paternal grandparents, Glen and Blanche Burns and maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Barbra Melton.

Christofer will be greatly missed.
