Christopher W. Ackerson Jr.

Christopher William Ackerson Jr., 39, of Windsor, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 8, 2021. He was born in Hartford on June 14, 1981 to Dawn (Usher) Ackerson and the late Christopher Ackerson. Christopher grew up in Windsor but spent part of his adult life living in Jacksonville, FL and most recently moved back to Windsor. He was an avid fisherman and loved being near any body of water that he could fish in. He was a skilled artist (especially with flash art), a passionate reader, loved to play pool and video games, and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. The weekends when Chris was not fishing he spent many Sundays watching football and cheering on his favorite team, the NY Giants. Chris is survived by his mother Dawn Ackerson of Windsor; his sister Josephine and her husband Rusty Kupyar of Bloomfield; his brother James Ackerson of Windsor; his daughter Raelynn (RaeRae) Ackerson; his Aunts Bonnie, Nancy and her husband Eric, and Mary Ann; his Uncles Ronnie, Jimmy and his wife Alejandra; and his cousins Charlene and her son Nicholas, George and his sons Kaleb, George Anthony, and David, Angeline, Shane and his son Brody, Sarah, David, and Josefina. Calling hours will be held on Saturday June, 19, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave in Windsor.
