A Life Filled With Quiet Beauty and Deep Loyalty
Chris entered the world with his twin brother, Tim-two boys whose connection remained unshakable throughout their lives, alongside their older brother, Eric.
From childhood onward, it was clear Chris saw the world through a different lens. He had a natural artistic gift, expressing himself through drawing and painting with a talent that seemed effortless.
Chris was always doing something-organizing, creating, cleaning…re-organizing, recreating and re-cleaning! He rarely sat still. His mind and hands were constantly in motion, and he poured that energy into the things he loved. The only thing he would sit still for, however, was a great movie, something he shared in common with his mom. He loved watching films and could recall scenes, lines, and trivia like nobody's business. If Chris watched a movie, you could guarantee a Siskel and Ebert review, a fun fact, and definitely the exact year it came out.
He carried this eye for detail with his need to stay busy into everything he touched. Throughout the years, his saltwater aquariums were the perfect outlet to release stress from the day while regrounding him for the next one ahead . Chris cared for his fish and corals with a patience and precision that mirrored his personality.
Then there were his routines and schedules-quirky, specific, and so perfectly Chris. Whether it was the exact time he walked Casey or the specific schedule he would iron his clothes (and even sheets!), it was always the same. Chris never left home without making his bed perfectly and he could organize a closet in a way that would make The Container Store weep with pride. He was a true minimalist who did not like clutter or unnecessary "stuff," and he kept his home with such intentional order that it became a form of art in itself. His classic style reflected simplicity, even in his attire, often wearing black, gray, and white. An understated yet fashionable wardrobe as clean and timeless as he was.
Despite his minimalist values, Chris still managed to build a few carefully curated collections-comic books, watches, knives, and even his shoes were a kind of collection. All which were organized either joy and pride.
The ocean held a special place in Chris's heart, particularly on the west coast where he spent fond years with some of his dearest friends. The sound of the waves and the sight of the shoreline kept him centered, while he also made sure to celebrate his youth and health while living life to the fullest!
Family was always at the center of Chris's world. He adored his nieces and nephews and found happiness in playfully aggravating and spoiling them in small, yet meaningful ways. He had a calm, gentle presence that made his loved ones feel valued and understood.
Animals were part of his heart, too. His favorite companion, Casey (dog) was by his side for many years. After Casey passed, Chris welcomed Moses-Tim and Bekah's dog-into his life. He said it many times, that Moses was his best friend. We take comfort in imagining Chris reunited with Casey now, both of them enjoying a relaxing, yet on time, walk in heaven.
Chris will be remembered for his creative mind, his calming spirit, his quiet wit, his love for animals, and the deep affection he had for his family and close friends. He was loved by all who knew him and was a loyal, steady friend to many.
May his memory always be a blessing.
