Christopher Allison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parkview Mortuary on Jan. 7, 2026.
Christopher Quinton Allison went to be with our Lord on January 3rd, 2026 in Delano, California.

Chris was the youngest of three children born to parents Tollie and Pauline Allison of Delano CA.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife and life partner of 30 years; Janice Gray Allison, step daughters Cristie Gregg ( Pete) of Navarre Ohio,

Jamie James (Brandon) of Bakersfield CA,

Jodi Gregory (Jeramy) of Bakersfield CA and

Amanda Iacona of Navarre Ohio, and step son

Larry Brown Jr (Spanky) of Las Vegas NV.

He is also survived by one sister, Susan Hooper of Texas, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grand children, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tollie & Pauline, older brother Mike Allison, step daughter Amy Gray and his beloved niece Megan.

Chris was born in Delano CA on November 7th, 1957 and remained in Delano, California his entire life.

He graduated from Delano High School in 1975.

He was employed by the Kern County Road Department for many years, working along side his

brother Mike until his retirement.

Chris was a humble man with character and integrity.

He was a friend to everyone he met, and was generous with his time, his capabilities and his knowledge which he eagerly shared with anyone that needed a helping hand on a project or just someone to listen to an issue.

Chris had a deep passion for anything that had to do with cars; especially race cars.

He loved to build and work on hot rods. He had a wealth of knowledge when someone was having an issue with a car project or with their own private car.

Chris was a constant learner and had a mind for storing facts. He was able to speak on just about any topic that came up in conversation and accurately recall facts about that topic.

Chris spent the last 30 years very much in love with Janice and cherished every moment that they spent together. He loved her more than he loved life itself.

They had a bond that many would be envious of. They leaned on each other as they navigated life with all of its ups and downs, and twists and turns. Their life together wasn't perfect, but it was more than perfect to the two of them.

Chris will be greatly missed by all those that knew & loved him, and he will forever be remembered for the love and consideration that he shared.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Chris and all who loved him on January 23rd at 11am at the American Legion in Delano, 729 Kensington Street, Delano California.
