Christopher "Chris" "Bud" Banks, was born on June 1st, 1976, in Fairbanks, Alaska to Edgar & Colleen Banks, and passed on August 11th, 2024 at the age of 48. He was baptized at Eastside Baptist Church when he was younger. They relocated to Rusk in 1977 and Bud attended school in Rusk, Texas. He was a hard worker and a shit talker from a young age and learned to operate equipment and drive trucks. That experience set him up for a life of hauling ass and logging miles. He was as good as any, but better than most. Growing up as a kid he spent time on the river with his dad and father in law Gary and all their friends. He developed a love for the water and fishing. He spent the weekends fishing with Gary and River, he loved traveling with Becca, playing with his grandbaby and visiting with his big kids, or cooking for friends and entertaining them with his OLD country singing. If you knew Bud, it wasn't a gathering with out a fire, the bigger the better. And unlike the rest of the world, he still loved talking on the phone with his friends everyday. Bud felt as strongly about raising his family as he did about working for a living. Survivors are wife Becca Banks and their son River, daughter Katlynn Klores and Josh, daughter Alexis Roberts and Cody and son Gunner, son Keaton Banks and Colleen, parents Edgar and Colleen Banks, grandparents Carson and Evon Corrigan, Inlaws Gary and Betty Langston, sister in law Melissa Odell and Don, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by sister Kendra Banks, grandparents Butch and Bonnie Banks. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 16, at 2 PM in the Rusk Church of Christ.
