St. Martinville- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Christopher E. Berthelot, 51, who passed away on December 4, 2025.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Brother Tony Ronsonet will officiate at the funeral service. As per his wishes, cremation will follow the service.
Christopher was born on January 27, 1974 in New Iberia. He was known for his hard work in tree service and his time spent crawfishing, but above all, he was a family man with a heart of gold. He loved cooking, especially barbecuing for everyone. Chris had a genuine connection with children; they adored him, and he brought joy and laughter to their lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi Henson Berthelot; children, Christopher "CJ" Berthelot, Jr. (Kaytlin), Chassidy Reed, Caitlin Reed, Bree' West and, Bradley West; grandchildren, Declan, Emersyn, Kyson, and Malakai; father, Gerald Berthelot, Sr.; siblings, Gerald "Buddy" Berthelot, Jr. (Judy), Mona Berthelot (Larry), Scott Berthelot (Karen), Peggy Berthelot Vincent (Shane), and Teesha Berthelot Gary (Nick); step siblings, LeeAnn Case, Wendy Case, Christy Case, Jenny Case, Lennis Case, Jr.; godchildren, Paige Berthelot, Alexis Gary, Zack Vincent, and Alycian Bourg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Rebert Berthelot; son, Michael Blake Reed; step mother, Cindy Berthelot; father-in-law, John William Henson; brother, Billy Case; and nephew, Holden Vincent.
Donations can be made to Go Fund Me to help defer funeral expenses.
