St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Cheryl "Noonie" Theriot Delahoussaye, 77, who passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at The Carpenter House.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville on Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 pm on Friday.
Deacon Dennis Landry will officiate the memorial service. Readers will be Brooke Steiner, Kristen Steiner and Ana Steiner.
Burial will follow at a later date.
Cheryl "Noonie" Theriot Delahoussaye passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and devotion. Cheryl was happiest when cooking for the people she loved, filling her home with the comfort of good food and togetherness. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, where she found joy in simple fun and friendly excitement.
Above all, Cheryl cherished time with her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also loved visiting with extended family members, keeping close the bonds that meant so much to her.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the nursing staff of the JD Moncus Cancer Wing at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they shared with their mom. Their support brought comfort during a difficult time, and it will never be forgotten.
Cheryl "Noonie" will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Marcel Delahoussaye, Sr.; son, Marcel Delahoussaye, Jr. (Hannah); daughters, Vickie Delahoussaye Boudreaux (Patrick) and Lori Delahoussaye Selsor (Lonie); brothers, Michael "Tyo" Theriot and Daniel Theriot (Billy); sister, Louisette Theriot (Jay); grandchildren, Kade Steiner (Brooke), Keith Steiner (Kristen), Kyle Steiner, Jayde Boudreaux, Adam Hebert, Amie Hebert, and Aaron Delahoussaye; and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur "Bud" and Hazel Lasseigne Theriot.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
