New Iberia, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Victoria "Vicki" Delahoussaye 66, the former Victoria Demouchet will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Saint Katherine Drexel Life Center (175 Ambassador West Lemelle Drive) with Fr. Donald Bernard, SVD Celebrant and Monsignor Ronald Broussard, SVD Co-Celebrant.

She will await the resurrection in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery-Petit Anse (Hazard Road) in New Iberia, LA.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Saint Katherine Drexel Life Center beginning at 7:30 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 A.M.

Victoria Ann, known by most by "Vicki", but most importantly as Momma and Grandma, was born on December 28, 1958, to the union of Preston Demouchet, Sr., and Thelma Roman.

She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 20, 2025, at Iberia Medical Center after a courageously facing many health battles.

Vicki was a lifelong resident of New Iberia and a graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She met the love of her life, Chris, at the tender age of 14 and they were married on March 4, 1978.

In this union, they had four biological children and two adopted children.

She devoted her life to her family as a domestic engineer, pouring her heart into raising her six children. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother, creating a warm and welcoming home where love, faith, and laughter always filled the walls.

Vicki was a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church and choir. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and shared her gift generously, often singing at weddings, funerals, and special church services. Through her music, she brought comfort, joy, and hope to many.

She will be remembered for her ferocious spirit, her unwavering devotion to her family, her deep faith in God, and her love for music.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her soulmate and husband of 47 years Ernest Christopher (Chris) Delahoussaye of New Iberia, LA; her children, Anthony Delahoussaye (Nicole) of New Iberia, LA, Kristi Delahoussaye-Boutte (Chad) of Grand Marais, LA, Katherine Delahoussaye of New Iberia, LA, Derek (Jodeci) Delahoussaye of Loreauville, LA, Patricia Demouchet of New Iberia, LA, and Brandon (Hein) Demouchet of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kelsey, Khylon, Kaylei, Catherine, Jaiden, Asher, Tristian, Parker, Emerie, Valerie, Aspen, Derek Jr., Hyacinth, Aria, and Leylah; brothers, Preston Demouchet, Jr., Danny Demouchet, Bryan Demouchet, Matthew Demouchet, Dwayne Demouchet, and Rogers Demouchet of New Iberia, LA, sister, Marion Charles of New Iberia, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Demouchet, Sr., and Thelma Roman; one sister, Catherine Demouchet-Davis; one brother, Irving Demouchet.

Serving as Active pallbearers are Derek Delahoussaye, Khylon Antoine Delahoussaye, Chad Boutte, De' Bryson Demouchet, Anthony Delahoussaye, and Brandon Demouchet.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Demouchet, Ronald Delahoussaye, Ernest Crofton, Wade Alexander, Glenn Fondal, and Danny Demouchet
