Christopher Brennan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cavanagh Family Funeral Homes, Inc. & Private Crematory - Norwood on Feb. 1, 2026.
Christopher T. Brennan, 59, of Glenolden, passed away on January 26, 2026. Born March 18, 1966, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Bernice (Lahner) Brennan.

Chris was a proud member of Holmes Fire Company for more than 40 years, serving as assistant chief and on the board of directors. A Briarcliffe native, he attended Our Lady of Fatima, Cardinal O'Hara High School, Delaware County Community College and remained deeply connected to his faith, his family, and his neighbors on Surrey Lane. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him.

Chris loved the Miami Dolphins, The Doors, and anything Mopar. He enjoyed car shows, summer nights on the patio, memories of Beach Haven and Sundays spent watching football with his best friend, Mike. He also cherished trips to Pot-Nets with his good friend, John. He was always known for his dependability, punctuality and sharp memory. He was profoundly loved, deeply cherished, and will be missed more than words can express.

Chris is survived by his brother, Stephen (Mary) Brennan; his sister, Monica "Mandy" (Bruce) LeBlanc; seven nieces and nephews, Stephen (Bryn), Alexandria, Katie, Nicholas, Matthew, Ryan, and Patrick; great-niece and great-nephew, Camryn and Dominic, along with extended family and friends; the Hunters (Mike, Helene, Zach, Alyssa), the Boyles (Frank, Barbara, Frankie, Michelle); and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and was a devoted caretaker to his father, Thomas, until his passing in 2025-a role he embraced with love and responsibility.

Friends and relatives are invited to a viewing Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike Norwood PA 19074, and Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Secane, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christopher's memory to Holmes Fire Company.
