Teresa M. Cell (nee Hennessey)

After a long and happy life, Teresa passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.Loving wife of the late William (Bill) Cell, daughter of the late Leo and Helen Hennessey, devoted mother to Diana, Audrey (Joe, dec.), Linda (Chris), Kathy (Jim), Eric (Bell), Gail, Andrew (Sooka), Gary, and Chris (Jenni), and doting grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, Teresa was born in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Philadelphia, graduating from West Catholic High School in 1950.

Teresa loved to read, write letters, play cards, dancing with her beloved husband of over 70 years, and surrounding herself with family and friends. She worked at Crozer-Chester Medical Center for many years before retiring to travel with her husband and enjoy her many years of remaining life. To her family, she left a legacy of compassion, strength, loyalty, love, and laughter. She had a unique ability to connect with others and will be profoundly missed. While her journey on this earth may have ended, her impact will live on in the generations to follow because of her loving, yet down-to-earth influence she passed on.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. Cell, three daughters Linda, Gail, and Kimberly, and her five siblings Leo, Jean, Rita, Bob, and Dick.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a visitation and Celebration of Life on Saturday (2/7/2026), from 10 AM – 11 AM, in the Church of St Gabriel, 233 Mohawk Ave, Norwood, PA 19074, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Burial in S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery at a later date.
