Linda Cell Obituary

Linda Coliukos Cell, 67 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Linda was born in North Carolina and grew up in Prospect Park, PA. She was the daughter of Teresa (Hennessy) and William Cell. She graduated from Interboro High School and earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Cecil College. Linda worked as a critical care registered nurse for over 35 years at Christiana Hospital, A.I. Dupont, and Crozer Chester Medical Center. She was also an entrepreneur, using her company to negotiate contract work for various hospitals. She enjoyed time outside in her garden; as well as hiking, kayaking, and camping with family and friends. Her smile was contagious; you couldn't help but to be drawn to her. She considered family above all and initiated beloved family traditions. Each year Linda gave back to the community through her annual fall coat donations (collecting coats from Jan - Oct so kids could be warm in the winter months) and supported families with toy drives and school supplies (individually tailored to their needs).

Linda will be dearly missed by her husband of 24 years, Christie J. Coliukos, Jr.; her parents, Teresa and William Cell of Prospect Park, PA; her children, Kimberly Lewis (Daniel) of Elkton, MD, Kelly Mathe (Brian) of St. Augustine, FL, Alexandra Leech (Kyle) of Wilmington, Kristina Rissetto (Tremaine) of Portland, OR, Carolyn Reed (Garrett) of Chesapeake City, MD and Robert Rissetto of Wilmington, DE; all her grandchildren (who lovingly referred to her as "Gram"), Kevin, Owen, Vanessa, Ben, Brooks, Addison, Noelle, Ryan, Tyler, Trever, Kendal, Lelia, Wren, Zuri, Juniper, Trey, Nixon, Van and Crew (both coming in December), her siblings, Diana Smith, Kathy Bonner (Jim), Audrey Epperson, Eric Cell (Belle), Andrew Cell (Suka), Gary Cell and Christopher Cell (Jenni) and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Rissetto.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 450 3rd St, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 Noon. A service will begin at 12 Noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions to the community shelter "Deep Roots at Clairvaux Farm", 21 Veazey Cove Rd, Earleville, MD 21919 or the Food Bank of Maryland, 28500 Owens Branch Rd, Salisbury, MD 21801.
