Christopher Michael Buhrman, age 44, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Michael Buhrman and Jeannie Myers Buhrman, his brother, Andrew Nicholas Buhrman, and his father-in-law, Chuck Arthur.

 

Chris was a train enthusiast for most of his life, spending countless hours watching trains at Collier Yard, and chasing trains with his fellow train buddies. He was a dedicated employee of DB Schenker for over 20 years. Chris will be remembered most as a devoted husband to Abbey and father to Aubrey. He felt that his greatest accomplishment in life was being Aubrey’s dad.  

 

Chris is survived by his wife of 11 years, Abbey Arthur Buhrman; a daughter, Aubrey Ann Buhrman; mother-in-law, Terry Clay Arthur; sister-in-law, Jamie Lynne Arthur Warf and husband, Kenny; his best friend, Brian Webb, as well as extended family members and friends.

 

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Crater Community Hospice, especially Lindsay Patrick, for their compassion and care.  

 

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Lebanon United Methodist Church, 12450 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841, followed by interment at Rowanta Church Cemetery, Carson, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening also at Lebanon United Methodist Church.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA 23805.
