Christopher Wayne Carpenter, 54, of Carthage, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Moore County, Chris was the beloved son of the late James Howard Carpenter and Linda Carpenter Daggerhart. He had a deep love for the outdoors- fishing, beach trips to Carolina Beach, and enjoying nature were among his favorite pastimes. Chris was also a talented woodworker, known especially for crafting beautiful wooden canes. A proud fan of the NC State Wolfpack and the Pittsburgh Steelers, he also enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sunday's. Chris' enthusiasm and creativity touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by family and his close circle of friends.
Chris is survived by his mother, Linda Daggerhart (Phillip) of Carthage; son, Steven C. Carpenter of Carthage; daughter, Sherry L. Carpenter of Carthage; brothers, Thomas Carpenter of West End and Adam Carpenter (Christina) of Robbins; sister, Angela Carpenter of Fredericks, Maryland; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Tyson's Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center, 10891 Siler City-Glendon Road, Bear Creek, NC 27207. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
