Christopher "Chris" Joe Kline, 49, North Manchester, passed away on October 9, 2025, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The son of Robert “Bob” J. Kline and Sharon Kay (Jackson) Hopkins, Chris was born March 4, 1976 in Rochester, Indiana.
Before facing health challenges in recent years, Chris dedicated his professional life to road construction, working for Mann's Asphalt. Chris was known for his warm and engaging personality. He cherished the time spent with his companion, Brandi Bishop, with whom he shared a loving relationship for the past five years. A true enthusiast of classic muscle cars, Chris found joy in attending car shows, notably enjoying the annual James Dean Festival. His passion extended to collecting scale die-cast cars, showcasing his appreciation for craftsmanship and design.
In addition to his automotive interests, Chris loved exploring flea markets, where he relished the opportunity to engage in conversation with everyone he met. His friendly disposition and eagerness to connect with others left a lasting impression on many.
Chris was also an attendee of Walnut Street Church, formerly known as the Congregational Christian Church in North Manchester. His faith was an essential part of his life, guiding him through both joyful and challenging times.
The loving memory of Chris Kline will be forever cherished by his mother and step-father, Sharon and Darrell Hopkins, North Manchester; and companion, Brandi Bishop, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Kline; sister, Tammy Kline; and nephew, Jeremy Marburger.
Family and friends may call Friday, October 17, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Tyler Walker officiating. Burial will be held at Akron IOOF Cemetery in Akron, Indiana.
The family of Chris Kline has entrusted McKee Mortuary with care and final arrangements.
