Christopher "Chris" Scott Mount, 58, of Coal Grove, OH, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025. He was born May 29, 1967, in Gallipolis, OH, son of Earlein (Ron) Meadows and the late Keith Mount. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Charlie Mount; maternal grandparents, Earl and Edna Henderson; and paternal grandparents, Junior and Vada Mount. Chris retired from the US Army Corp. of Engineers as a Construction Manager with exemplary service, winning the Commander's Award for Civilian Service, Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, along with the Construction Hard Hat of the Year Award multiple times.

He enjoyed life, fishing, traveling with friends and family, and side-by-side rides with his fur baby.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lorie Conley Mount; three sons, Keith Mount, Garrett (Molly) Mount; and Dane (Jessica) Haukedahl; one sister, DeeAnna (Ben) Mayo; one brother, Randy Mount; two grandchildren, Ava and Carson Fain; two uncles, David Mount and Barry Mount; special aunt and uncle, Danny and Lorelei Holschuh; and cousin, Dustin Holschuh; five nieces and nephews, Levi Mount, Cameron Mayo, Chloe Mayo, Lorna Ceaser and Alex Windhorst; and a host of other beloved family members; and his special fur baby, Dexter Eugene.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Wallace Family Funeral Home in South Point, OH, with Pastor Eric Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service, a time for shared memories and support.
