Christopher D. Closson, 62, passed away suddenly on September 5, 2025. Born on Christmas day, December 25, 1962, Chris was a gift to all who knew him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Those wishing to sign Chris' Memory Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
Chris had a kind heart and a deep love for his family. He had a great eye for artwork and especially loved attending the Krasl Art Fair every July. He enjoyed sailing, worked hard all his life, and was always willing to lend a hand to others. Known for his sense of humor, Chris often made sure pictures taken of him needed a little "editing," as he was quick to raise his middle finger in front of the camera.
He was a loyal Republican and strong, supporter of firearm rights, proud of him membership in the NRA and the values he stood for. And no matter the season, you could always find Chris cheering for his number one team, the Michigan Wolverines.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Douglas Closson Sr. and Dixie Closson; step-mother - Jackie Closson; and his brother - Brian "Booboo" Closson.
Chris is survived by his siblings - Doug Closson Jr. (Shannon), Teresa Closson Kugel (John), Clayton Closson, and Dennis Closson (Dawn); step-siblings - Tami Lester, Tonda Smith (Al), Alan Nelson, and Sharon Senecal. Chris will be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Chris will be remembered for his laughter, loyalty, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

Though we did not have a deep relationship with Chris, we appreciated having him as a good, trustworthy neighbor. We will miss him.

I pray the Lord brings you peace through His Word.

Jesus is full of grace and truth.
