Christopher Michael Cochran, known affectionately as Topher, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 40, in Syracuse, Indiana. He was born on January 15, 1985, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to James Michael Cochran and Julie Wilson and grew to be a man of profound kindness, boundless love, and steadfast faith.
Topher is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Lynn Cochran; his cherished children, Ashley Iddings-Deon and son Christopher Young; his treasured bonus daughter, Melia Young; and two adoring grandchildren, Elli and Koda Iddings-Deon. His legacy also lives on through his devoted father James (Evelyn) Cochran, his nurturing mother Julie Wilson, and his adored sisters Lori (Jason) Wright, Stephanie (Tim) Myers, and Makayla (Jamie) Wise. His three supportive uncles, Andy (Melissa) Cochran, Dan (Helen) Cochran, and Steven (Judy) Wilson, along with affectionate fathers-in-law John (Margaret) Fredette and Bernie Young, his two loving brother-in-law’s, Matthew J. Young and Jeremy Lutkins, and the many nieces and nephews whom he loved, will hold his memory dear in their hearts.
After graduating from New Castle School of Trades in Pennsylvania, Topher ventured into a career that mirrored his passions. Earning an associate's degree in automotive, he was skilled in all things vehicular and went on to receive his class A CDL. A talented and diligent mechanic in the automotive industry, Topher was admired by his colleagues for his work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed.
A fervent Christian, Topher lived his life as a testament to his faith, embodying love and kindness in every action. He found immense joy in participating in memorial and charity rides and was known for his passion for anything related to Harley Davidson. Topher's presence was a beacon of light in his community, and his commitment to his faith was unwavering, touching all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
No services are being held at this time, Legacy Cremation and Remembrance, 1274 Lincolnway S., Ligonier, IN 46767, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Topher’s honor may be given to the Indiana Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, Indiana Department of Health, 2 North Meridian Street 6BF4, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
