Christopher Coles Obituary

Published by Watson Mortuary Service on Oct. 7, 2017.
Christopher Daniel Coles Jr. of Jersey City, New Jersey passed away on October 7, 2017 at his residence in Honolulu, Hawaii. All who had the pleasure of Coles Jr's company always had positive things to say of him. He smiled and greeted everyone, every time and had a true enjoyment for his fulfilled life. He is survived by his daughter, Ashleigh Melissa Coles, his son, Christopher Daniel Coles III, and a plethora of cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Born on Friday the 13th of May, 1939, Coles Jr. lived a full life, graduating from Lincoln High School, becoming a decorated army serviceman, working as a data processing manager for the Associated Press for over 30 years, and living out his final years as a retiree in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii. Having loved to do as he pleases and making his dreams a reality, Coles Jr's life was anything but unlucky. While he will be monumentally missed here by all who knew him, there is no doubt his next destination is brighter by his presence. For friends and family who do not know us, we have known Christopher for a number of years. We corresponded by mail, email and phone calls, and visited him in Waikiki several times. He was great to talk to and had a kind heart. My husband would mail Hess Trucks to him, as he requested, and they were given to children in need. He will be greatly missed and we were saddened to discover the news of his passing today, as my husband was attempting to contact him. We have fond memories that we will hold onto. We are sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Mike and Karen Brazinski
