Christopher Alan Cruise

Christopher Alan Cruise, aged 41, passed away on August 25, 2025, in Sparks, Maryland. Born on September 2, 1983, in Baltimore, Christopher led a life marked by kindness, thoughtfulness, and his love for his family and friends.

Christopher was the cherished son of Joy George and her husband Jeff, and his father Paul L. Cruise. He was a loving brother to Casey Keener and her husband Travis, as well as Adam Frank and his wife Chelsey. Christopher's role as an uncle to Cedric, Moira, and Duncan Keener, along with Liliana Frank, was one he embraced with joy and pride. His fur baby, Kaiju, was a treasured companion who provided boundless comfort and happiness in his life.

In addition to his immediate family, Christopher is lovingly remembered by his brother of the heart, Andy Grunwell, and his family. His expansive spirit touched many lives, leaving a legacy of cherished memories with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends who were drawn to his uniquely sense of humor.

Christopher's passion for life was evident in his diverse interests. An avid Aikido practitioner, he earned a brown belt and found great fulfillment in teaching the martial art to children, imparting not just technique but also the discipline and respect that underpins the sport. His love for Jeeps was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and connection to the great outdoors. Christopher was also an animal enthusiast, finding joy in the simple pleasures of watching deer, foxes, and squirrels in their natural habitat.

A true Baltimore native at heart, Christopher never missed a chance to root for the Ravens, sharing in the camaraderie and spirit of football season with friends and family. As a gamer, he was known for his strategic mind and competitive nature, especially when playing Battle Tech, where he was both a formidable opponent and teammate.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Christopher's life at Bamboo Garden-225 Brierhill Drive-Bel Air on Saturday, August 30 at 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Harrisburg Aikido dojo where Christopher was a student, to help support others who study this art.
