Christopher Day Obituary
Funeral services for Christopher Andrew Day, 35, of Gaston, will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Dr. Jeff Wright will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service in the Woodridge Mausoleum Chapel.
Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens at 6621 Windwan Drive, Columbia, SC 29209, will follow the service. (This cemetery is behind Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia. Turn onto Pennington Road which runs alongside of the funeral home, and follow this street until it intersects with Windwan Drive. Turn right onto Windwan Drive, and the cemetery will be at the end of this road)
Christopher "Boo-Boo" Andrew Day was born June 18, 1987. He was a loving and caring father, son and brother. He cared more about helping others than himself. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Chris's passions outside of family was being in the outdoors fishing or caring for animals. Chris had one of the biggest hearts anyone could ask for.
Chris is survived by his 2 children; son, Nicholas Andrew Day and his mother, Tonya Moore of Greenville, South Carolina; daughter, Georgia Ann Day and her mother, Julie Anspach of North Carolina. Chris is also survived by his father, Paul Raymond Day of Port Royal, South Carolina; and mother and step-father, Deborah and Dennis Coomer of Gaston, South Carolina; older brother, Bobby Joe Wingard of Gaston, South Carolina; step-sister, Dawn Anderson of Lexington, South Carolina; sister and brother-in-law, Chrystal and BJ Compton of Pelion, South Carolina; step-sister, Nikki Coomer of Charlotte, North Carolina; and step-brother and sister-in-law, Dennison and Samantha Coomer of Lexington, South Carolina; and by numerous other family members including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew.
He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Irene Day; pateral grandmother and grandfather, Barbara & Claude Day; maternal grandmother and grandfather, Rosa & Colie Stockman.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local SPCA or animal shelter in honor of Chris and his best friend Ruger.

I tried hard to find a way to reach out Chris's family when I heard, I just came across this.
Chris was someone I met yrs ago & we became good friends. My heart sank when I heard the news. We were alot alike in alot of ways & were close to the point that he was like a younger brother, we related to what our lives had been like & were always there to help pick eachother up. This has been the hardest for me to deal with when it has come to loosing a friend. I still think about him & I will never forget him.
