Christopher Matthew Deese, 57, of Lee County, passed away at his residence with his family by his side on June 1, 2024. The family will have a visitation on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at Mathews Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
Born on December 13, 1966, in Albany, Georgia, to the late George L. and Lorraine Boucher Deese. Chris graduated from trade school with a master plumbing license. Throughout his career, he worked with Local Union 72, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in his field.
Described as a big-hearted person and a big kid at heart, Christopher found joy in simple pleasures such as going to concerts and amusement parks. A true Star Wars fan at heart, he embraced adventure and spontaneity - always ready for a road trip or a camping trip.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Raven Alexandria.
Chris is survived by his daughter Katie Deese, grandchildren Braxton Owens McKinlee Ellis and Sofia Deese, as well as siblings George L. Deese, Jr., of Deatsville, AL, Debra Brock of Albany, Ga, Danny Deese of Sylvester, GA, Randy Deese (Stephanie) of Albany, GA, Penny Tarleton (Bruce) of Calhoune MO, Terry Faircloth (Tim) of Lawrenceville, GA, and Brian Deese (Tammy), of Albany, GA.
