BALLSTON LAKE Christopher G. DeZuba, 51, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Albany, Chris was the cherished son of the late MaryAnne Spizowski Rosetti, who passed in May 2022, and the stepson of Thomas J. Rosetti of Ballston Lake.
Chris's passion for life was beautifully expressed through his love of cooking and adventurous palate. A talented chef, he spent most of his career creating delicious meals and sharing his culinary knowledge, especially with his beloved niece and nephew. He was a fearless food enthusiast, always eager to take on the challenge of the spiciest dishes he could find.
A devoted sports fan, Chris loved rooting for the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys. He was always eager to dive into lively discussions around his favorite teams. He also had a deep appreciation for wrestling and, in his younger years, enjoyed attending live events. When not indulging in culinary adventures or watching sports, Chris found joy in traveling-especially to Cape Cod. There, he treasured his time at the beach, playing mini-golf, exploring arcades, deep-sea fishing, and dining at his favorite local spots.
Chris's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a dedicated uncle, deeply involved in the lives of his niece, Olivia, and nephew, Lucas. From cooking their favorite pasta fagioli with Olivia to gaming with Lucas, Chris's love and attention left an indelible mark on their lives. He delighted in surprising them with gifts and never missed an opportunity to attend their activities and sporting events.
Chris is survived by his stepfather, Thomas J. Rosetti; his loving sister, Amanda Keller, and her husband, Stephen, of Clifton Park; his treasured niece and nephew, Olivia and Lucas Keller; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also lovingly remembered by his lifelong friend Jen, and her daughter, Taryn, who held a special place in his heart. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Chris Rosetti for his kindness and generosity during Chris's final days.
In honor of Chris's wishes, no public funeral services will be held. A private celebration of his life will be planned at a later date to remember and cherish the warmth, laughter, and love he brought to all who knew him.
