Anne E. Batchelder

COHOES Anne E. Batchelder, 74, passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Albany, she spent most of her life living in Cohoes. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Halikias and Marian Tanner Booth and wife of the late Les Batchelder who passed in 2023.
In her younger years, Anne worked as a nurse's aide in Albany. She was natural caregiver who loved to help others and look after family and friends alike. She loved to shop sales and always had presents for neighbors and their children. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
Annie is survived by her two loving sons, James Batchelder and William Batchelder; by her siblings, Glenda Seeberger, William Halikias, Elmer Halikias, Russell Halikias, Deborah Holmstedt, Mary Stevens and Kathy Halikias; by her grandchildren, Ashley Batchelder, Elizabeth Remillard and Anthony Batchelder and by her great granddaughter, Savannah Remillard. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Richard, Robert, Donald, Jack and Stanley Halikias, and by her sister, Josephine Campney.
At Anne's request, there will be no funeral services.
