Christopher Michael Doing

Mr. Christopher "Chris" Michael Doing, age 53 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2025.
Mr. Doing was born on September 16th, 1972 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jim V. Doing and Paulinda Ann Lucksted Doing. From an early age, he developed a deep love for the outdoors, a passion that shaped both his personal life and his career. He proudly served our nation in the United States Army, carrying himself with honor, dedication, and a deep sense of duty. A master diver and skilled ski instructor, he embraced every opportunity to explore the natural world-whether kicking up dust on off-road trails, capturing landscapes through photography, or hiking miles into the wilderness. His greatest joy in life was his son, Cole, whom he loved with all his heart and spoke of with immense pride. Dedicated to preserving and sharing the beauty of nature, Mr. Doing worked as a recreation specialist for the U.S. Forest Service, where his knowledge, enthusiasm, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Mr. Doing is survived by his loving son, Cole Doing of Vancouver, WA; parents, Jim and Paulinda Doing of Vancouver, WA; brother, Chad Doing of Vancouver, WA; niece, Kaylie Doing of Vancouver, WA; and nephew, Isaac Doing of Vancouver.
To honor Mr. Doing's wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
