Christopher Dowell was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 4th, 1960 and passed away from a heart attack in Tulsa Oklahoma on October 16th, 2025.
In 1964, when Chris was 3 years old his family moved from Kansas City to Muskogee, where Chris lived the remaining 62 years of his life. He attended Sacred Heart, Longfellow, Jefferson, and West High schools on his way to getting his high school diploma from Muskogee High School. He later attended both Bacone and Conners Colleges.
Being quite athletic, he was briefly on both the school's football team as a guard and on the track team. He also participated in tennis events. Early in his life he worked for Bebbs Flowers, the Tulsa Club, Rainbow International, and briefly in the US Army before receiving a medical discharge. Chris was very likeable, made a lot of friends, and had a great future ahead of him until contacting a life long illness which left him unable to work.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by this five siblings, Rick, Fred and Kimberly in Norman, James in Prague, and Barbara in Atlanta. He will be dearly missed by all of his siblings, caregivers, and neighbors on 14th street.
The funeral service will be held at 4 PM Thursday October 23rd at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home at 2801 Chandler Road in Muskogee.

Earlier today

Chris loved porch sitting and even did televideo
Dr visits on the porch. His favorite food was Braums burgers. He was a kind man with a keen memory for 80´s rock like Rush and Kansas. You could name an album and he knew every song on it. He had a very positive outlook and enjoyed his time on earth. The angels will greet you along with your parents. Miss you Chris!
