When I first saw you Chris, you were running the West Marin school teacher ladies up and down highway one. You had them running so hard, and laughing as well, it was something to see. I believe I met you quite a while after, and a more positive person I´ve never encountered. You always had a beaming smile and a helping hand to offer, not just friends, but anyone. I really enjoyed out time together Chris, and I truly hope you are in a good place friend!

Chris, we started at Shoreline together over 10 years ago. Quickly I realized we shared a passion for movement and inspiring kiddos to enjoy an active lifestyle. Later, we attended many killer shows at Terrapin and elsewhere enjoying face melting riffs and good times. Can´t believe it..Fare thee well amigo

Chris is one of the most important pieces in my life. He always taught me right from wrong and taught me how to be a man. I will miss him dearly and I know everyone in west Marin will too. I love you Chris. Thanks for making school feel fun and thanks for making my life better.

Rest In Peace Chris. You were a mentor, and a great leader to all of us when we were in middle school and even going into highschool/ after highschool. Thank you for always believing in our dreams, and keeping our goals alive. I am where I am today because of the motivation and discipline you´ve instilled in me and my classmates at a young age. For anyone that did not have Chris as a teacher, he was the kindest soul around, always a smile on his face, always made sure everything was okay at home. Chris always put his students first before himself. He always motivated me to be physically fit and perform at my highest level. Pictures below are from sports event Chris would attend and coach. Thank you for being there for me at school and as a father figure at west Marin for all of your students. You greatly impacted all of our lives, and we will never forget you. Legends Never Die. Love you Chris, Rest In Love. .

The best teacher and mentor a student could ever ask for.

While he was at St. Paul's he changed my life with his inspiration and positivity, truly a one of a kind. Relentlessly encouraging and humble.

Thank you for everything and you will be held in our hearts.

My dear Chris, Thank You for the beautiful three years we spent together in Richmond, CA, when you and me where one. Thank You for all the Love you made me feel and for everything I learnt from you and the uncountable experiences we lived together.
I will never forget the bright in your eyes, your beautiful smile, your free Spirit, your energy, your love for nature and music, your teaching skills, your tenderness, your laugh...
Sadly, sometimes Love between two people is not enough to fight and that was a tough lesson from which I survived.
My beloved Chris, rest in peace and finally fly FREE as you deserve, you beautiful soul.
A part of you will always live in me and if there is another life after this one, I am sure we will meet on the other side. Send enough strength to your parents and closest family to live without your smile.
Love you,
Susana from Spain.

I met Chris in 1996, our freshman year at SC. For almost 30 years he has been a close friend and brother to me. Chris always gave the best big bear hugs, if you ever got one you know what I mean. I´m going to really missthose hugs. I´ll always carry your spirit with me Chris but I´m sure going to miss you buddy.

I met you, Chris, during our freshman year at Springfield College in 1996 and since then it has been an unforgettable journey. From our trip out to CA in 2001 to our hike up Panther Mountain just last year. You were my brother, my family, my best friend. Somehow we will pretend to fill the void but it is large. Your spirit was truly extraordinary. I am because you are. I love you.

chris, my favorite teacher, swim instructor during water dogs in 2015, my coach who motivated me to push myself across my limits during cross country, track and field, and in any situation i was struggling in. he would make me get up during class to make him his ginger tea in the back of the room while he taught the rest of the class (i absolutely hated ginger)
chris was my emotional support whenever i needed him, he never judged you for anything you did, with a smile that would light up the whole room. he was the person who would always talk about his mountain biking experiences to not do school work or when we would get him mad, he´d make us run to the wall and back. whether he was a shoulder to cry on or the scary chris in the office lecturing me to make better decisions and new friends ( i never did) i´ll always be grateful to have had the opportunity to meet him & have him as a mentor. thank you for everything you did for me chris, i´ll never forget you

Man, I only saw Chris twice as a kid, but even then he was the coolest person I knew and we had an adventure in DC neither of us ever forgot.
Then 21 years later we finally reconnected briefly when I was living in Denver and he was in town for a show. That led to him coming back for a New Years weekend full of live music, great talks, laughs, and finding out how much our lives paralleled in the years apart and how similar we were now. That weekend became the next adventure we'd never forget and, for both of us, one of our favorite weekends ever.
It only took that weekend to become brothers over long lost cousins and I'm going to miss talking with him so much. We were always trying to figure out the next show we'd meet up at, but sadly, it won't be how we thought.
I'll always bring him with me though.
Love you, Brother.

Chris, my life was forever changed the moment you walked into it a year and a half ago! Although our time was cut short in this lifetime, I know it will continue on the other side. Until then, know how absolutely grateful I am for all your love, support, humor, sense of adventure and most of all teamwork! I miss you so much Chris!

Ahhh Christopher, the unyielding Spirit, the beautiful smile that lit up any room or heart, humble and generous, goofball and Captain, adventurous and loyal, curious and kind.

Thank you for the wisdom you've taught me that I continue learning from, for the unforgettable times we shared, and for being the wonderful radiant human you were in this crazy, crazy world.

You were one of a kind and we will love you always!!!

I dont even know where to start. Chris was on a different level than most. He could leave a lasting impression on someone he just met once. I was privileged to call him one of my best friends and a brother for almost 30 years. Completely shattered by his loss, but countless fantastic times and adventures together that most wouldn't experience in a full lifetime. So grateful to have been on this planet with him for as long as I have been. I will miss him for the rest of my life, but am lucky to have known him. Rest in Peace my old friend. I hope we meet again in the great beyond. Love you!

Uncle Chris was more than an uncle to me. He was a brother, a friend and he was another dad to me. His smile and laughter would brighten any room up. I will cherish all the memories I have with him. You were the most amazing uncle anybody could ever have. You will always hold a special place in my heart. My heart is shattered but the memories will live on. Thank you for everything and I´m glad I had the time I had with you. It´s never goodbye it´s I´ll see you later. I love you always and forever uncle Chris. A best friend that I´ll always cherish.

To know Chris means you have a lot of memories that make you smile. My kids were lucky enough to have time with him and STILL talk about the shenanigans of that day 8 years ago.He had a way of making you feel like you were one of his close friends immediately. He connected with people of all ages in a way that was a gift to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. When I think of Chris I think of how much he cared for others.Especially family. Once we heard of his passing, family immediately was sharing pictures, videos and stories of time with Chris. You couldn´t help but smile remembering his energy and kindness.I doubt I am alone in wishing we had more memories with Chris but I am thankful for the ones I have.
