Christopher Shane "Chris" Edwards

Christopher "Chris" Shane Edwards passed away on October 10, 2022, it was his 50th birthday.
Chris was born in Norfolk, VA on October 10, 1972, to Kathryn Virginia and Jack Dalton Edwards. He enjoyed outside activities, such as boating, kayaking, and fishing. He loved collecting knick-knacks, especially his coins and jewelry. Chris could turn anyone's trash into his own treasures. He bent over backward for anyone and everyone he met. He loved his family with everything he had. Everyone will miss him dearly, especially his dry sense of humor, just like having nicknames for everyone. He would sit for hours with his children and watch SpongeBob SquarePants or eat raw cookie dough with his niece.
Chris will always be remembered by his father, Jack D. Edwards Sr.; his best friend and mother of his children, Margaret Averitt; his three children, Alexander Dunn, Sidney Edwards, and Gabrielle Edwards; nieces, Serina Poore, Krissi Morris, and one nephew, Brendan Dunn as well as their four children.
Services for Chris will be held on October 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Church, 1173 George St. Norfolk, VA 23502.
