Fizz, exactly one year since you left us. What they say is not true. It does not get easier with the passing of time. Amy, the girls, and I miss you every day. We love you so very much. We will be going to Needwood to the Fizz Tree. :) Love you, Chris.

Fizz, this is your brother Greg. I love you and miss you so very much. It has been almost two months and it still hurts. I have such a huge emptiness in my heart right now. They say the pain will ease with time and one will forever cherish the fond memories and great times. I will always cherish those but will still hurt because of not having new ones. It is comforting to hear from a myriad of people whose lives you have touched. That, little brother make me smile. You will always be my kid brother...and 34.
Amy and the girls also miss you so very much and still break down over your passing. We talk about you constantly. We always seem to have instances where we would say, " Oh, yeah, that is like Fizz would do" or " Reminds me of Fizz".
You were supposed to go salmon fishing with me this Fall in upstate New York. You still are because I will be taking a few of your items with me. We love you, little brother.
Godspeed, Chris.

My heart goes out to Engels family. Death is tragic enough but it is truly heartbreaking to lose someone so young. The pain, grief, and feelings of helplessness can sometimes seem unbearable. During such grievous times words seem to be of little comfort. However, there are words that can comfort those who are mourning as no other words can those of our loving Heavenly Father who created us and has the desire and the ability to undo the effects of death. At Hosea 13:14 He promises to empty the grave and redeem our loved ones from death. Our tears of pain will be replaced with tears of joy! My prayer is that God will strengthen you and give you a measure of peace until His promises are realized.

On behalf of the entire Engels south family, our deepest sympathies go out to Dad and Belinda. The memorial celebration of Chris's life on earth was a great success. Many thanks to our Family members who made the celebration such a grand event. I will fondly hold the memory of Chris's many adventures here in Tennessee close to my heart, along with every cast I throw into the water. As the ripples fad and the Largemouth bass crashes into my bait, I will remember Chris.

There are no words adequate enough to express the sorrow we feel at the loss of a child, especially Chris. Chris was an influence to everyone around him, we were lucky to have known his big heart and devilish personality. The man he became is truly the influence of wonderful parents, Belinda and Jim. We will keep his spirit alive with many warm memories and funny stories of childhood, because we loved him.

My son Ryan worked with Chris, told me lots of stories about how much fun they had together, he really thought Chris was a great guy. So sorry for your loss, may you all find comfort and peace during this difficult time. Will keep you in prayers.

Great friend and great person... this world lost a good one in Fizz. His ability to bring as much happiness to others and willingness to be by someone's side will never be forgotten. Going to miss you friend and all that you were about.
