Christopher Felix Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All Peoples' Funeral Home - Rosharon on May 23, 2024.
Honoring the life of Christopher Ray Felix
Christopher Ray Felix was born September 21, in Houston, Texas to Bobby Ray Felix and Joan Felix. Chris grew up and lived in Houston with his parents and two of his older brothers, Allen and Barry. This was never enough for Chris because the friends he cultivated became his brothers as well. Chris had a way of endearing people to himself, and his loyalty knew no bounds. His quick wit and humor were also endless and if you needed some cheering up, you could just give him a call.
On December 31, 1992, he met the love of his life, Jackie Sanders, at "the club". Chris and Jackie were married on July 8. 2000. To them, two sons were born, Christopher Jr (August 4, 2002) and Malcolm (August 8, 2003). There was no question how much he loved his wife and boys. If you saw one, you could just about bet you would see them all.
Chris played quite a few sports and introduced his love of football to Malcolm and his love of basketball to Chris. His love for basketball guided him to coach AAU basketball, and while doing so, he also mentored others with some going to the next level after high school, including his oldest son. He was also an avid fisherman and had plenty of stories about how big the fish were that he caught.
Chris worked as an Owner-Operator of a big rig, transporting products over the road. He got the love for the road honestly, being that his father loved the road as well. Chris could drive from coast to coast as easy as walking to the mailbox.
On the morning of May 20, 2024, God called Chris home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents (paternal), Ben and Olessie Felix; Emerson Allen Sr and Eula Allen (maternal); father, Bobby Ray Felix. His memories, quick wit, and as his mom called him, "The Gentle Giant", will be cherished by his wife, Jackie; his mother, Joan Felix; his sons, Chris and Malcolm; his brothers and sisters, Allen, Barry, Charles, Bobby Jr., April, Yolanda, Barbara, Esther, LaKiesha, Shanteral, LaKesha and mother-in-law Betty Henry, his nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
